Steve was selected based on his exceptional leadership, vision, and passion in Wisconsin's business landscape. Throughout his more than 35-year career, he has propelled Alto-Shaam forward. Over the past decade, Alto-Shaam has doubled sales under his direction and dedication to building a thriving, multi-generational company in the foodservice equipment industry.

“The Titan 100 are changing the way that business is done in Wisconsin,” said Jaime Zawmon, President of Titan CEO. “These preeminent leaders have built a distinguished reputation that is unrivaled and preeminent in their field. Their achievements create a profound impact that makes an extraordinary difference for their employees and clients across the nation.”

Under Steve's visionary leadership, Alto-Shaam has upheld its pioneering legacy that began with his father Jerry Maahs, who founded the company in 1955. Steve’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations has driven the company's evolution, ensuring that Alto-Shaam remains at the forefront of technological advancements and industry trends. This has included launching multi-cook as a new product category in 2017, as well as ongoing innovation within its core product categories of multi-cook ovens, Cook & Hold ovens, combination ovens and holding solutions.

“Carrying on the legacy to me meant ensuring that the true entrepreneurial story of my father would never fade away or disappear,” Steve said. “He created the opportunity and built Alto-Shaam into the global leader it is today. I took it as my responsibility to continue it, focusing on transforming Alto-Shaam into a leading innovator in the foodservice equipment industry. By constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible, we ensure that we exceed our customers' needs in an ever-evolving industry.”

Steve will be honored in a limited-edition Titan 100 book and profiled exclusively online. He will also be honored at an awards ceremony on January 30, 2025, at Fiserv Forum. This unique cocktail-style awards event will gather 100 Titans of Industry and their guests for an evening unlike anything that exists in the Wisconsin business community.
